Accomplishments, Awards and Milestones
April 2011: Some of the great-castes.com pictures were featured in the DVD exercises that come with David Mattingly's The Digital Matte Painting Handbook.
Following the exercises in the book, we updated the header on the site by creating a digital matte sky and clouds using Adobe photoshop.

Fall 2007: A picture I took of Caernarfon Castle in July won an Editor's Choice Award from the International Library of Photography. The picture was also published in another one of their books.
Summer 2007: I wrote a "top ten" castles review with a review of each castle for worldreviewer.com. This marks my first time writing and being published by another source.
On February 1st 2006: Some of my castle pictures were featured on the website HighlightsKids.com which is the companion website to the kids magazine 'Highlights'. See a screenshot.
On June 24th 2005, a picture of Burg Eltz was used in an online newspaper article titled "Castles: Dreams and Reality" written by Cassandra Bell for the American Chronicle.

On March 31st 2005, a picture of Alnwick Castle was published in the book titled "Frozen in Time", published by The International Library of Photography. This marked the first time one of my pictures has been published.
Pictures of Bodiam Castle, Burg Eltz, and Pfalzgrafenstein were published in the book titled "Endless Journeys", published by The International Library of Photography in November 2005.
On March 12th 2004, the site won The 2003-2004 Golden Web Award presented by the International Association of Web Masters and Designers.
On February 1st 2004, the site won The World Wide Web Awards - Silver Award which included the following statements:
